Usually when you have a photo shoot, you take hundreds of photos in order to get that perfect shot. It's a simple matter of probabilities, really. The more photos you take, the more likely it is that one will be great. When shooting Ilvy, I soon realized that there was going to be a problem. As I was glancing at the photos during the shoot, I realized that there were dozens and dozens of photos that looked amazing. I knew it was going to be nearly impossible to choose from amongst them, and when I started downloading the photos into my computer, I realized that I was right. It's not a bad problem to have, really.
Even better, Ilvy is smart, charming, personable, and takes direction super well. It's always great when you get to work with models like her.
The funniest part of this story is that my girlfriend actually scolded me for not being more daring with my photos. She said that I was playing it safe and being far too conservative. Ilvy was also thinking that we could try some more daring shots. I guess I'm just not cut out for this stuff. :)
